Denver Biofeedback was founded in 1985 by Jinny Joy LaRock, RN BCB Sr. Fellow, one of America’s pioneers in the science of Biofeedback.
About Jinny Joy LaRock, RN, BCB, Sr. Fellow
Jinny Joy LaRock started her career as an RN in Denver after graduating from the University of Iowa in 1968 with a BS degree in Nursing.
She has held a license in Nursing issued by the State of Colorado since 1968.
In 1976, she trained as a Biofeedback therapist with Thomas H. Budzynski, Ph.D., an early pioneer in the field of Biofeedback.
Jinny worked with Dr. Budzynski for 5 years and at Presbyterian Denver Hospital for another 5 years, prior to opening Denver Biofeedback in 1985.
She assists clients with management of stress symptoms such as anxiety, chronic pain, headache, sleep problems, TMJ, hypertension/high blood pressure, muscle re-education, MFPS, dystonia and head injury rehabilitation.
Jinny served as a Board Member for the Colorado Association of Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback for 7 years and is an active member of the National Association of Applied Psychophysiological and Biofeedback since 1981.
She is certified by the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA) (formerly the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America) since its inception, and is recognized as a Sr. Fellow.
